"Mont St. Michel" lyrics - BILL PRITCHARD

BILL PRITCHARD
"Mont St. Michel"
(Tim Bradshaw / Bill Pritchard)

Started to get well in Mont St. Michel
Underneath the cranes and the throbbing twilight and the peaceful chatter expectation
I got out of hell in Mont St. Michel
With yoga and glances, plastic icons and the Japanese tourists wishing me well

Was it so hard to be that man?
I'll see you soon clutching a toy balloon

Started to get right in Mont St. Michel
Not religion, me just thinking well that was then and this is more
I liked what I saw in Mont St. Michel
Purposeful people, no fixed motives on a fortified rock for 44 people

Sitting up on a bay in Mont St. Michel
It's been raised and it has fallen and people come in for Sunday comfort
There's a certain smell in Mont St. Michel
It's cheap spiritual it's fantastic because half of it is made of plastic
